An Inverness couple was arrested early this week on a host of charges that included possession of a concealed firearm and accessory after the fact; marijuana cultivation operations were discovered in two of their residences, and their home at the top of the Inverness Ridge was stormed last night by a Marin County SWAT team with an armored vehicle on hand.

The arrests began on Monday, when Teobaldo Schujman, 38, was stopped in San Anselmo for a traffic violation. An officer subsequently found a loaded firearm, metal knuckles and processed, packaged marijuana in his vehicle, and determined that he was driving under the influence. His wife was arrested the following day at her Sausalito home for committing “several acts which incriminated her as an accessory to his crimes after the fact.” The couple moved into the $1.1 million home with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay in 2013.

That home was the subject of a major search that took place after dusk on Wednesday. Several law enforcement vehicles, an ambulance and a fire truck were parked at the bottom of Drakes View Drive for at least an hour while a SWAT team entered the property with a search warrant obtained that day (the couple’s Mill Valley and Sausalito residences were searched on Tuesday). The Central Marin Police Authority announced that marijuana cultivations were discovered at the couple’s Sausalito and Inverness homes; the Inverness operation was large, a press release stated, and three firearms were found in the home.
