Marin County joins suit against Trump administration over postal service changes

Avatar by David Briggs September 17, 2020

Marin County joined three lawsuits this week against the United States Postal Service for policies that have delayed mail delivery, including eliminating overtime, removing mail sorting machines and de-prioritizing election ballots from first-class mail. The lawsuits allege that the changes unconstitutionally threaten the election’s integrity, while the postal service maintains that voters can trust the system to deliver ballots on time. Inverness postmaster Lynn Baring, pictured above, says she hasn’t noticed any slowdown.    David Briggs
