Experience good times for the greater good at the seventh annual Far West Fest on Saturday, July 21 at Love Field. The festival, which has raised $150,000 for nonprofits since 2005, will benefit Home Base, KWMR Community Radio, and the Tomales Bay and San Geronimo Valley teen centers. Three stages will offer a lineup that includes Les Nubians, Orgone, Vinyl, Spark and Whisper, Marshall Payne, Sol Doc with Mi Gaan, MC Radioactive, Bo Carper, Kelly McFarling, Garrin Benfield, Forest Sun Ingrid Serban, Deborah Crooks, The Incubators, Pat Nevins, Kimberly Kenn and the Otherlies, Joe Linus, and Andy Graham and his Slaperoo. The green event will be zero-waste, with carbon-offset options and no plastic packaging on site. Food vendors will offer only organic and sustainable treats, including oysters, fresh produce, grass-fed meats and artisan wood-fired pizzas. In addition to music, the festival will have a kid zone featuring kid-centric live music and storytellers. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate for ages 16 and up, $12 in advance and $15 at the gate for youth. kids under 10 free with an adult.
