A community meeting held to discuss mental health services in West Marin will take place at 6:30 p.m. on August 13 at the Dance Palace Community and Cultural Center, in Point Reyes Station. The Marin County Division of Mental Health and Substance Use Services is hosting a series of meetings throughout the county in order to prepare a budget for the next three-year cycle of programs offered under the Mental Health Services Act, which begins July 1, 2014. The division provides preventative, intervention and recovery mental health care for children, adults and seniors, and is seeking feedback on which services West Marin residents want more of and which they want to see done differently. The meeting will be translated into Spanish and Vietnamese. Those unable to attend can give feedback through a survey at the County of Marin website.
