The 42-year-old transient who led authorities on a massive manhunt through the San Geronimo Valley nearly two weeks ago has fled to the central California coast. Most recently, Dimitri Storm is suspected of stealing a Lexus in Carmel, in Monterey County, on Sunday morning, according to Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Sergeant Mitch Medina. Authorities from several California counties are pursuing Mr. Storm in connection with a rash of home break-ins and auto thefts. On April 5, Mr. Storm is believed to have stolen a car before allegedly threatening to kill sheriff’s deputies and leading officers from eight law enforcement agencies on a chase through West Marin that ended in a sleepy canyon-adjacent Woodacre neighborhood. Sgt. Medina said they are treating Mr. Storm as possibly armed and dangerous.
