KWMR, West Marin’s community radio station, has received a $20,000 grant award from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) in recognition of its achievement in the “Efficiency” category. “KWMR is really pleased that the new efficiencies KWMR developed for this three-year round were recognized by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting,” Amanda Eichstaedt, executive director and station manager, said in a statement. “It is crucial that a small, nonprofit station like KWMR make the most use of every dollar raised to continue to serve the community.” The station highlighted the use of volunteer programmers, a new Marin County-funded website, and an updated Emergency Alert System in its application for the grant.
