Joseph Nokes, the music teacher for Tomales Elementary and Bodega Bay School, will take over as interim principal at Bodega Bay School during the upcoming school year following Jane Realon’s resignation, Superintendent Tom Stubbs announced in a letter to parents on Tuesday. Mr. Nokes is well known for putting on musical and theatrical productions. He also worked as a school administrator for Live Oak Unified School District in Santa Cruz and Paradise Unified School District in Butte County for six years, qualifications that will allow him to “step in and perform admirably as an interim principal,” Mr. Stubbs wrote. Last month, trustees approved an agreement with James Patterson, former principal at all three of the district’s larger schools, to be interim principal at Tomales Elementary for the 2014-15 school year.
