Tim Westergren, the Pandora founder who has proposed an over 8,000-square foot development in Inverness Park that has spurred protest from community members, postponed a meeting with the Inverness Association planned for Dec. 3 till January. He cited a need for time to assemble a formal presentation given the large number of residents planning to attend, though he did send two representatives. The Inverness Association scheduled the December meeting to discuss the project, which was originally going to take place at the Inverness Library, without knowing Mr. Westergren would appear; Mr. Westergren later agreed to come, said Bridger Mitchell, the vice president of the association. The group decided to move the location to the Yacht Club when it realized too many people wanted to attend. Mr. Westergren emailed the association, asking that the entire meeting be postponed, but the announcement had already been made. “We were in a jam because we had no way to inform everyone that the meeting was postponed. We didn’t originally envision [Mr. Westergren and his wife, Smita Singh] would attend. We have certainly invited them to make presentation at the January meeting,” Mr. Mitchell said. Mr. Westergren told the Light, “It’s important for us to provide fully up-to-date information and materials, such as our upcoming hydrology analysis, our responses to initial comments, and other site visuals. We need more time to assemble this information.”
