November election results finalized on Friday left the three closest races in West Marin unchanged, though it brought a school board challenger in Bolinas within an even smaller margin of one opponent. Christine Cunha had hoped to unseat one of three incumbents running for the Bolinas-Stinson Unified School District board, but the final tally had her seven votes behind Jennie Pfeiffer. The $9 million bond measure for the school district remained lost (with 456 votes against and 451 for, though it needed 55 percent of votes) and Liza Crosse, an aide to Supervisor Steve Kinsey, officially lost her seat on the Marin Municipal Water Board to Larry Bragman, a Fairfax town councilman. During the race, Mr. Bragman voiced opposition to the use of herbicides on water district lands and to a potential connection to the East Bay Municipal Water District; Ms. Crosse hoped to wait for more information from a forthcoming environmental impact report to take a stance on herbicides, and cautioned that any water connection to Oakland, if it ever came to fruition, would only be used for dire emergencies.
