Tomales High School’s star running back and linebacker Anthony Feliciano is the school’s first student to be recruited for a football scholarship. He will sign his letter of intent today to play for Benedictine College, a Catholic, liberal arts school in Kansas that finished high in the rankings last year. “I was pretty happy to say the least,” Anthony said. “We work very hard as a team throughout the year, the summer and the season. Just finally having someone getting that recognition—not for myself, but as a program as a whole—is huge.” Leon Feliciano, his father and his football coach, called it a “double reward” in both his roles. “It came naturally to him because he loves it,” he said of his son. Anthony, the school’s second-leading rusher of all-time, had programs calling from Idaho, Iowa and Kentucky.
