Two good Samaritans may have saved a visiting couple that nearly plunged to their deaths in Stinson Beach last week. The couple, in their 20s, were taking pictures along a cliff with their backs to the sunset when they slipped and fell 150 feet, said Stinson Beach Fire Department Chief Kenny Stevens. “The gentleman climbed up to a rock outcropping, the girl sat on his lap, and for unknown reasons they fell back over the rock,” he said. The man landed in a patch of poison oak and was in critical condition, while the woman sustained only moderate injuries. A couple of out-of-town skateboarders saw the accident and rushed to help. “He was unresponsive to every question I had, so basically, I [told him] to stop moving, and [wait] for the fire department to get there, and when they got there they went into action,” said Ryan Ouzts, one of the skaters, to reporters.
