Marin County will soon launch a round of public meetings in its quest to set local rules for onsite wastewater treatment systems—commonly known as septic systems—and get them approved by the state.
County officials are inviting residents to weigh in as they draft their Local Agency Management Program, or LAMP, a framework established under state law that allows counties to tailor septic regulations to local conditions, provided they meet statewide water quality standards.
