Richard Kirschman, a philanthropist and innovator whose sense of humor equaled his commitment to the common good, died on Nov. 6. He was 85 years old. Richard earned himself the unofficial title of mayor of Dogtown after successfully petitioning the county to restore the forgotten name of the town
