Dennis Rodoni, the Olema contractor who will join the Board of Supervisors next month, has sent out an informal online survey to gauge which issues are most important to District 4 residents. “It’s really about getting feedback about people’s opinions and high priorities,” said Mr. Rodoni, who sent the survey to his campaign email list, though it has also bee forwarded around. In particular, Mr. Rodoni said he hopes to better understand whether some topics that didn’t earn top billing during this year’s campaign may still be on people’s minds. The survey asks residents which town they live in and then lets them rate the importance of 33 issues on a scale of 1 to 100. Topics include open space protection, traffic congestion, agriculture, fiscal responsibility, the Local Coastal Program, tourism, mental health, education, crime, drug use, libraries, government transparency and more. Mr. Rodoni stressed that the survey is not scientific, but added that “it’s valuable to me to know what people are thinking.” He hopes the majority of responses will come in by the end of the year, before he takes office, though responses in January are welcome, too.
