Popular local band El Radio Fantastique will headline a prohibition-themed benefit concert this Saturday at Toby’s Feed Barn, in Point Reyes Station, for West Marin Community Services and Papermill Creek Children’s Corner Scholarship Fund. Fabulous food and drinks will accompany the eight-piece band, self-billed as “part rumba band in purgatory, part cinematic chamber group, part shipwrecked serenade.” Hot Club of Point Reyes, a 1930s jazz ensemble with legendary bassist Paul Knight, will accompany them with a special performance. Also on hand will be a gambling den and $500 raffle. Costumes are highly encouraged; the band members will be wearing them. Tickets are $65, which includes one free drink, and are available at the door or prior to the evening at Point Reyes Books, the West Marin Thrift Shop and Papermill Preschool. All of the proceeds will go to support the two non-profits. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
