Proposed park shuttle fee hike

The National Park Service is soliciting public comment on a proposed $2 fee increase for the winter shuttle that runs to the lighthouse, Chimney Rock and Drakes Beach in Point Reyes National Seashore. The fee is currently $5 round-trip; children under 16 ride free and discounts apply for seniors and disabled riders with passes. The hike would go into effect in December 2014. Comments may be submitted until October 31 by visiting http://parkplanning.nps.gov/pore or by mailing or hand-delivering letters to Superintendent, Point Reyes National Seashore, Attn: Proposed fee increase for winter shuttle bus, 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes Station, Calif. 94956. Comments will not be accepted by fax or email.
