After several longtime poll workers retired this year, the Marin County Elections Office announced an urgent need for volunteers at the Inverness and Stinson Beach polling places during the June 3 primary election. The elections office holds paid training classes before the election and pays a stipend for election-day work that ranges from $100 for clerks and $150 for chief inspectors. Poll workers must be eligible to register to vote or be legal residents of California; have basic clerical skills; and be able to work from 6:30 a.m.to 9:30 p.m. on Election Day.
