A 23-year-old Point Reyes Station resident, Jamare Saucer, has been charged with being an accessory to a murder attempt involving a brawl and shooting outside a 7-11 in San Rafael last week. Shortly after the shooting, Central Marin Police officers stopped and arrested Mr. Saucer, who was driving a vehicle suspected of fleeing the 7-11. In the vehicle was also 22-year-old Auburn resident Jonathan Howlin, who police identified as the person who shot 22-year-old Corte Madera resident Anthony Williams in the chest. Mr. Williams was treated at Marin General Hospital and released. Mr. Saucer is scheduled to enter a plea on Monday. He had been on probation for a series of prior offenses, including misdemeanor possession of marijuana in December; misdemeanor battery of a police officer and resisting arrest last July; and misdemeanor furnishing alcohol to a minor in 2014.
