Manka’s Inverness Lodge scored ninth place on a list of the best American hotels for foodies in the May issue of Bon Appétit magazine. The magazine’s editor, Christine Muhlke, wrote that the 1910 establishment’s “hunting-lodge splendor” is elevated by Daniel DeLong and Margaret Grade’s magical “in-room hearthside meals” presented with flair and made with local ingredients. Mr. DeLong and Ms. Grade recently opened a new restaurant, The Olema, at the corner of Highway One and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. The top-ten list, to be published in the May issue of the food magazine, was drawn from a list of 40 hotels published earlier online. The nominees included Nick’s Cove and Cottages in Marshall.
