Limantour Road will be closed on weekdays until May 7 while construction crews replace old drainage culverts. The work takes four hours at a time, requiring weekday closures from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 5 p.m. The construction is part of the large-scale road rehabilitation in the Point Reyes National Seashore. The culverts were built in 1969 when the road was first constructed. Until now, construction on Limantour has only required minimal delays with one-way traffic control, but these culverts are deeper and a full closure will allow crews to work safely and efficiently, according to a press release.
