Writer and co-founder of West Marin Commons, the late Jonathan Rowe, will be celebrated in May at a release party for a book of his collected writings, Our Common Wealth: The Hidden Economy that Makes Everything Else Work. In a review of the collection, Massachusetts-based author David Bollier wrote, “The book offers a series of meditations on various aspects of the commons, markets, property and the human condition. Each of them is brisk, passionate and lucid.” The event will take place on May 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dance Palace Community and Cultural Center. A meal of soup, bread and conversation will be followed by reflections from attendees, including the book’s editor, Peter Barnes. $15 tickets can be purchased at Point Reyes Books or online at ptreyesbooks.com.
