The Inverness Garden Club is accepting applications for college scholarships for 2013-14 academic year. Last year the club granted 36 scholarships totaling over $120,000. “The club is extremely grateful for this wonderful support of our youth, and we look forward eagerly to receipt of this year’s applications,” board chair Barbara Jay said. Applications for new and continuing students are available from the Inverness Garden Club’s website, at invernessgardens.org. Qualifying students must either live in the coastal West Marin towns of Point Reyes Station, Inverness, Olema, Tomales, Marshall, Dillon Beach, Stinson Beach, Bolinas or Nicasio, or be a graduate of Tomales High School. Scholarships are available for full or part-time study at universities, community colleges, or vocational and trade schools. The deadline for all applications is March 31, 2013.
