Nearly 42 percent of Marin County voters turned out for a special election last month; in West Marin, the day saw the passage of two measures and new board members appointed to the Muir Beach Community Services District. Turnout in Muir Beach was 74 percent. Together, Leighton Hills and Steven Shaffer amassed 312 of the total 543 votes; incumbent Peter Lambert nabbed 86 votes. For the Lagunitas School District, the passage of Measure A with 1,072 votes (nearly 72 percent) will haul in essential funding for the district. Measure F in Bolinas, which helps fund maintenance of the town’s parks, earned 323 votes, or 83 percent.
