Marin County is inviting residents to apply to be members of the Countywide Priority Setting Committee and its Local Area Committees, which oversee the county supervisors’ allocation and distribution of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Program funds. The CDBG and HOME committees are undergoing an expansion with the goal of increasing diversity; individuals representing the interests of racial and ethnic minorities, as well as people with disabilities, are especially encourage to apply. The committees also provide input on the county’s implementation of the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. Applications are available at marincdbg.com, and are due by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25. For more information call Amy Brown at (415) 473.6279. A public meeting with the committees will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30 at the Marin Health & Wellness Campus, in San Rafael. There will be an update on efforts to further fair housing and other public services.
