In celebration of its 60th anniversary, the Bolinas Community Center will host two events this weekend: a community slide show on Saturday and a Sunday afternoon tea. “We are hoping that you will come for a great reunion with old friends and make new friends. This is a weekend to remember the past, appreciate the present and raise funds to carry on into the future,” the new development director, Randi Arnold, wrote in a press release. The slide show will feature photos by Ilka Hartman and Barbara Kayfetz and will be accompanied by live music; food, wine and beer will be available. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. The Sunday event, “Founding Families Reunion & Recognition Tea,” takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. and will include a brief introduction by Elia Haworth, the history curator of the Bolinas Museum. $10 adults; tea, port and scones will be served.
