Bolinas-Stinson Union School District directors voted Monday to search for someone to develop a grant proposal that would fund a feasibility study for an on-campus preschool. The $25,000 the board hopes to acquire would explore whether the district could accommodate the roughly 35 children from age two to five currently attending one of the area’s two private preschools, the Bolinas Children’s Center and the Stinson Beach Preschool. “The district is in a distinct position where the move would actually be possible,” outgoing Bolinas-Stinson School Principal Leo Kostelnik said. “There would be no charge to parents, which would solve many families’ financial issues with preschool education, and provide an enormous educational advantage to the community.”
