The California Coastal Commission postponed its review last Wednesday of an appeal challenging the county’s approval of an R.V. park providing temporary housing for former residents of a Bolinas ranch. The delay was a result of improper noticing, said Stephanie Rexing, a district manager for the commission. Bolinas for Compassionate Land Use, the group that filed the appeal, and its lawyer did not receive the required notice in time, Ms. Rexing said. The hearing, which was rescheduled for next month, will determine whether the group raised substantive objections. If commissioners decide that it did, it will schedule a full hearing. The temporary R.V. park, called Bo-Linda Vista, has provided housing to roughly 60 residents since last October, after the Bolinas Community Land Trust raised funds to relocate people from the ranch next door. The land trust plans to build permanent housing for the residents, most of whom are Latino, at the ranch.
