Grab your short shorts because the Shoreline Community Mentor Program’s (SCMP) first annual Antique Tennis Classic Tournament is almost here. All proceeds from the event will fund a part-time position to coordinate activities of West Marin students — who would be the first in their families to graduate from college — and the mentor volunteers that guide them through the process of preparing for, applying to, and funding a college education. The tournament will take place on July 7 in Point Reyes Station, during an all-day garden party featuring a variety of food, beverages and music. Vintage rackets will be provided by Point Reyes Tennis House. $35 day passes include four food coupons and are available for purchase at the West Marin School, Point Reyes Barbershop and Point Reyes Books. Checks should be made payable to West Marin Community Services. For questions and player registration, contact Jim Patterson at (415) 663.1008 or email [email protected].
