The pressure can be intense for a young kid showing off their cow, pig or sheep at a large county fair. They’re supposed to present their animal with a combination of poise and panache. If their livestock doesn’t cooperate—if it runs off or refuses to budge—well, that can be embarrassing in front of a big crowd.
