The Inverness Garden Service donated time this week to ready Point Reyes Station’s town commons for a “green revival” that kicks off on Earth Day. Next week will see new landscaping, a new path and improvements to the Little Yellow House; the work aims to demonstrate good environmental practices, such as the use of drought-resistant native plants and water harvesting. Organizer Steve Costa’s vision for the lot is that it serves both locals and visitors, while “encouraging a stronger interface” between them. Interested volunteers may call Michaela Cahoon at (401) 374.0713. Others may wish to shop at the Palace Market on Tuesday, when 10 percent of sales will be donated to the project. David Briggs
