There are two fewer trees in Point Reyes Station this week, after Pacific Slope tree company removed the large pine that towered between Wells Fargo Bank and the Palace Market—strung with illuminated globes at certain times of the year. Another tree was taken down between the bank and the gas station. Experts said they were dead or dying of pitch canker disease.
