WEEDING: Volunteers coordinated by the Bolinas Land Stewardship Committee spent Sunday near the sewer ponds, pulling Scotch broom and cotoneaster and marking fragile young oaks. The workday was part of a larger oak woodlands restoration effort that includes the mechanical removal of bigger stands of the fast-spreading non-natives, a $250,000 project funded by CalFire.
