Biologists with the National Park Service patrolled for red-legged frogs on a stubbornly flooded and pot-holed section of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in the seashore last Wednesday. The next day, contractors installed concrete barriers and gravel as a temporary fix for the section until a permanant repair is undertaken, from Pierce Point Road to the lighthouse. Studies and environmental reports for the full road repair were released in 2015; work is slated to begin in the spring of 2020 and last until the fall of 2021.   David Briggs
