Rob and Stacey Lawson opened the doors of the newly renovated, light-filled Tomales General Store last month. Mr. Lawson's grandparents owned the shop for over 50 years, until 2000. The couple says they want locals to feel good about coming in, and they are planning a basic hardware section. This weekend, they will be handing out mandarin oranges in honor of Walt and Mildred Diekmann.   David Briggs
