Storm brings minor flooding to Inverness.

This week's atmospheric river, besides closing almost every major road in West Marin at some point, also flooded the basements of several homes on Aberdeen Way, in Inverness. Although it is not unusual for basements on the road to flood, a clogged culvert on Wednesday diverted water across Aberdeen, exacerbating the flooding of Alder Creek and depositing a layer of decomposed granite along the road. Above, Inverness fire chief Jim Fox clears debris. As of yesterday morning, the storm brought 8.43 inches of rain to Inverness, and 9.86 inches to Woodacre, according to the National Weather Service and the Inverness Public Utility District.   David Briggs
