Last Sunday, the historic Papermill Creek Saloon celebrated 50 years under the ownership of Thomasina Wilson, now 93 years old and living on the same property where she raised her 14 children. Ms. Wilson renamed the saloon, formerly called the Lodge and dating back to 1939, because of its rough reputation. In recent years, the watering hole has attracted attention for its lively local music scene. On Sunday, Sky Blue performed alongside the Papermill Gang, and the saloon provided food all day long. “[We] had the best party ever,” said Jared Litwin, who manages the bar.   David Briggs
