Jake Velloza benefit raises money for graduating seniors.
by

May 22, 2019
The Jake Velloza memorial alumni baseball game was rained out last weekend and was replaced by a cornhole tournament at Tomales High School. The benefit, which raises scholarship money for seniors, this year brought in $17,000—the most since its inception seven years ago. It honors the late Tomales graduate—and three-sport athlete—who was killed in 2009, at age 22, during a tour of duty in Iraq.
