Inverness postman Marc Guthormsen cut a cake at Saltwater Oyster Depot during a farewell party on Monday evening, a week before he leaves for a new post in El Verano—a small town close enough to his Petaluma home that he can ride his motorcycle to work. Residents thanked him for everything from giving them mail when they had forgotten their keys to being a key part of small-town life. "I so appreciated your positivity, your humor, and your weirdness," one patron said.
