“We’ve loved this community from the very start, but we did not know what it felt like to be a part of a community until now,” said Rebecca Martin, whose Inverness Park home burned down on Monday night. Ms. Martin and her husband, Alex Frankel, and their 2-year-old son, Will, escaped the conflagration uninjured, watching on as firefighters fought the blaze, which started in the basement from an unknown cause. “The messages of love and offers of support that we have received have been overwhelming,” Ms. Martin told the Light, thanking her neighbors by name. “Our angels were with us throughout the whole experience, in spirit and in flesh. Thanks to everyone, we came out of this unscathed and with a greater sense of priorities and family.”    Roy Pitts
