Vickisa Feinberg examined a piece of art as she set up Gallery Route One’s 16th annual Box Show on Tuesday. The show, for which 150 artists are given a plain wooden box, is the largest fundraiser for the nonprofit gallery. It opens this Friday, with a reception on Sunday and a live auction and bidding party on September 14. “Art this year ranges from A to Z, abstract to Zen,” said self-described Box Show cheerleader La Ronda Bucciarelli, whose box last year received the highest bid. Proceeds fund a variety of community projects.
