BOLINAS: One-year-old Otis Manson was one of 24 new babies, small children and one young man who were paraded around and serenaded at the annual Sun Festival and Baby Blessing on Bolinas Beach last Sunday. Mark Butler (center) stepped in as the blessing’s leader this year; longtime leader Tom D’Onofrio is ill and living at The Redwoods in Mill Valley. Jane Mickelson called out the youngsters’ names, and musicians, including Stu Art (playing guitar), followed them around the circle. Skyroad Webb, a Coast Miwok Indian, made a spontaneous appearance and delivered a prayer for the seven directions.
