DONALD GURAVICH AND JOANNE KYGER’S MONTEREY CYPRESS HEDGE IN BOLINAS
Thirty years ago Donald and Joanne pruned back 60 to 70 foot high Monterey Cypress trees bordering the couple’s property, for fear of the trees dropping something on their house.
Donald, a professional tree trimmer, has transformed them over the years into a hedge that is about 105 feet long, 18 feet at its highest point and 18 to 20 feet wide.
”It turned into the first major climbing and tree pruning job for me. Since then, I’ve just been trying to follow its whims, and not let it get too out of hand…”
