ISIS HOCKENOS PAINTING THE MURAL IN THE DINING ROOM AT THE NEW SIDE STREET KITCHEN IN DOWNTOWN POINT REYES STATION
Isis was born and raised in Marshall and attended the original Huckleberry preschool. She has a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and studied printmaking in Florence, Italy. Though she currently lives in Oakland and is a resident artist at The Midway Gallery in San Francisco, she works regularly in West Marin and is an active member of Gallery Route One. This month, she curated an exhibition in conjunction with the Geography of Hope Conference titled “The Atlas of Decivilization.” It opens on March 1 at Toby’s Gallery and other locations around Point Reyes Station.
