NICASIO CELEBRATES THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT’S NEW ENGINE 763 ON THE LAFRANCHI BALLFIELD — JUNE 1, 2019

In keeping with recent tradition, the community of Nicasio welcomed fire engine 763 with a ceremonial wetting down and water transfer from engine 762, which will remain in the department as a retiree and parade truck. Engine 763, pictured second from the left, is a 2019 Skeeter Brush Truck Type 6 built on a Ford 450 platform. It carries 300 gallons of water and can pump 150 gallons per minute. Like the 1968 International custom- built 762—seen on the far right—the new engine is designed for wildland firefighting and rough, off-road conditions.
