Park employees are still emptying the trash and cleaning the bathrooms at the Point Reyes National Seashore, at least for now. Most roads and trails remain open, too, despite the latest government shutdown declared by a divided and dysfunctional United States Congress.
But don’t expect to pick up a map at the Bear Valley Visitor Center or seek advice from a ranger before you hit the trails. Most park staff are taking an unwanted vacation…
