Hermitage, an Inverness shop, opens doors

SPACES: Margaret Weir and Michael Barnett (left) play games at their new shop, Hermitage, in Inverness behind the Post Office on Monday. The space is primarily a gallery for Mr. Barnett’s wood sculptures, with some wares in the back room, but she has other ideas, too. Ms. Weir hopes to host literary events, poetry readings and art openings. She also has plans for at least one tutorial on mah-jongg and is considering a lesson on local medicinal plants.
