Earth Day electronics recycling

Electronic items will be collected on Earth Day at Bear Valley Visitor Center.

Point Reyes National Seashore will sponsor an electronics recycling collection event in honor of Earth Day—the most celebrated secular holiday in the world, founded in 1970 by United States Senator Gaylord Nelson from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Monday, April 22 at the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Accepted items include all computers, accessories and peripherals; cell phones, PDA’s and telephones; audio and video equipment; small printers, scanners and faxes; wires, cables and power cords; printer toner and inkjet cartridges; and small kitchen appliances. No dry cell batteries; light bulbs; large household appliances like refrigerators and stoves; furniture; commercial copy machines; or hazardous waste.
