Car crashes avoiding fallen tree

HAZARDS: A local drove off the road and down an embankment toward the creek in Samuel P. Taylor State Park before daybreak on Tuesday, after swerving to avoid a fallen tree on a curve. The accident closed the road for nearly two hours. The driver was uninjured.

Wells Fargo tree comes down

POINT REYES STATION: Next month, Wells Fargo Bank will remove a large pine tree whose limbs have for years carried homemade Christmas lights in winter. A spokesman said arborists who examined the tree believe it has been dead for over a year.
