September 24, 1998 Sheriff's Calls

BOLINAS - A deputy found a man passed out on Brighton Beach and arrested him on charges of public drunkenness. As the officer returned to his patrolcar parked on Wharf Road, he saw a second man letting the air out of its tires. The deputy then arrested him on charges of tampering with a vehicle. While patting the second man down, the officer found he was carrying a bag of marijuana and cited him on charges of possessing a small amount of pot. When the second man was booked into county jail, officers found another bud of marijuana in his pocket.

POINT REYES STATION - A deputy arrested a resident on charges of assault with attempt to commit rape after the man pulled down the panties of a minor and fondled her.

FOUR CORNERS - A deputy arrested a Point Reyes Station man on charges of indecent exposure.

SAN GERONIMO - A man told deputies he arrived home to find his girlfriend having sexual intercourse with his best friend. A fight ensued, but the man said he did not want to press charges.

POINT REYES STATION - A deputy arrested a man on charges of public drunkenness.

MARSHALL - A man found a wallet in the parking lot of Nick's Cove and turned it over to a deputy.

INVERNESS PARK - A deputy shot a deer that had been injured in traffic on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

DOGTOWN - A boy ran away from school.

BOLINAS - A vandal on Olema-Bolinas Road scratched a vehicle and kicked off its sideview mirror.

MARSHALL - Someone shot a pregnant cow belonging to a rancher along the Marshall-Petaluma Road.

TOMALES - A man was arrested on charges of public drunkenness.

FOREST KNOLLS - The postmaster complained about a backhoe that had been left in the postoffice parking lot for a month.

BOLINAS - A man on Wharf Road said he was "very upset" because he had been attacked by a worker in town.

NICASIO - A woman on Nicasio Valley Road notified deputies that a 24-foot moving van was partially off the edge of her driveway and in danger of falling over a cliff.

MARSHALL - A man on the Marshall-Petaluma Road told deputies about possibly illegal hunting.

BOLINAS - A woman complained about five motorcyclists "doing wheelies" on Elm Road. A deputy could not find them.

FOREST KNOLLS - A Juarez Avenue resident reported the running lights had been stolen off his Jeep during the night.

SAN GERONIMO - A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard woman said another resident, whom she doesn't know well, was shouting for help. She said the 27-year-old man was in the company of someone "weird" and that the whole situation seemed "strange."

STINSON BEACH - A woman on Seadrift Road complained that a man and woman next door were yelling at each other at 10 p.m.

NICASIO - A Highway Patrolman on Lucas Valley Road arrested an "erratic" driver on charges of drunk driving.

INVERNESS - A woman on Aberdeen Way at 11:20 p.m. complained about a party with loud music and people talking loudly outdoors. A deputy contacted the hosts, who agreed to keep the noise down, but the woman called again at 1:30 a.m. to complain the noise was continuing.

FOREST KNOLLS - A resident at 12:40 a.m. complained about a loud party at Guadalupe Place and Aztec Avenue. When contacted by a deputy, the hosts moved the party indoors.

WOODACRE - A woman on Railroad Avenue notified deputies that her 83-year-old father was "out of control" again and had gotten into a fight with her son. She said her father had now left, but her son was bleeding.

BOLINAS - A resident complained about an illegal campsite on a stretch of beach he owns. He said he had called deputies before to no avail.

STINSON BEACH - A Calle del Piños man who was recently arrested on assault charges reported that he too was assaulted.

SAN GERONIMO - A 94-year-old woman reported having a dispute with a 50-year-old woman, who is her ex-roommate. The older woman said her ex-roommate was now banging on her door and frightening her.

BOLINAS - A helicopter was dispatched to Olema-Bolinas Road to pickup an emergency patient with a head injury.

BOLINAS - A woman on Mesa Road told deputies that ongoing problems with her neighbors are escalating and that she now feels threatened.

STINSON BEACH - A resident notified deputies of a non-injury traffic accident on Calle del Arroyo, noting the vehicle may have disappeared into roadside bushes.

POINT REYES STATION - A burglar broke into a car and stole property.

HICKS VALLEY - A Marin Municipal Water District ranger found 10-gallon and 15-gallon buckets of liquid near the intersection of Wilson Hill and Marshall-Petaluma roads. Since the liquid could be a dangerous chemical, deputies asked the county Department of Public Works to pick up the buckets.

September 17, 1998 Sheriff's Calls

TOMALES - Deputies on Highway 1 arrested a man on charges of public drunkenness.

POINT REYES STATION - Burglars stole property from the Dance Palace.

LAGUNITAS - A deputy arrested a woman on East Cintura Avenue, charging her with assault with a deadly weapon against her husband.

MUIR BEACH - A man on Ahab Drive reported someone had used his name and social security number to get cellular phone service.

BOLINAS - For the second time in a week, a deputy on Brighton Avenue cited the same man on charges of living in his vehicle.

OLEMA - A firefighter clearing brush along Highway 1 found a knapsack that had been stolen in a burglary.

OLEMA - A merchant found a wallet but could not locate its owner, so the merchant gave the wallet to deputies.

STINSON BEACH - A man was arrested on Calle de Piños on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

BOLINAS - A man was arrested at Poplar and Kale streets on charges of drunk driving and obstructing an officer.

TOMALES - Two boys, 16 to 17 years old, broke the glass of a payphone along Highway 1. A witness told deputies the pair were part of a gang of 10 boys.

NICASIO - A teacher reported a cashbox had been stolen from her desk.

POINT REYES STATION - A vandal threw a beer bottle that broke a window of West Marin School at 11 p.m. The principal was in the school at the time but did not see the culprit. He estimated the damage at $300.

DILLON BEACH - A deputy on Marine View Drive took a report on an alleged assault with a deadly weapon earlier in the day.

FOREST KNOLLS - Two juveniles at Montezuma Road and Juarez Avenue strong-armed a third juvenile and stole his bicycle, helmet, and backpack.

OLEMA -A burglar broke into a man's car parked outside an inn and stole miscellaneous papers. The burglar cut himself while breaking the car's window, and there was blood in and outside the vehicle.

STINSON BEACH - A woman staying in an inn on Belvedere Avenue happened to wake up and look out her window at 3:45 a.m. She saw someone with a flashlight in her car and went outside to find out what was going on. She found a lock on her car's door had been pried open, but the burglar had fled. Deputies found blood on the vehicle.

STINSON BEACH - A burglar broke into a woman's car parked near Slide Ranch and stole her purse and checkbook. Deputies found blood on the vehicle.

POINT REYES STATION - A man reported a canvas bag containing a cellular phone and his wallet were stolen from his motorcycle during a rummage sale.

STINSON BEACH - A burglar broke into a parked car by punching the hood open. The burglar then disconnected the car's burglar alarm, burned the car's seats, and stole its stereo.

FOREST KNOLLS - A man complained about people talking and laughing loudly along Tamal Road. A deputy contacted the night manager where the people were staying, and the problem was abated before the officer arrived.

BOLINAS - A woman complained that people with 45 tents were camping on the beach and not using public restrooms.

BOLINAS - A man told deputies that three men with two dogs, which might be pit bulls, were attacking other people and dogs on Brighton Beach.

LAGUNITAS - A man complained that 12 people were trespassing at the Ink Wells and that numerous cars were parked illegally along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. When a deputy checked, he found only two juveniles at the scene and advised them to leave.

BOLINAS - A woman reported that five men had quarreled with her. The quarrel was now over, she said, but the men were still at her gate. She asked for a deputy to drive by.

STINSON BEACH - A woman on Francisco Patio phoned deputies to say there was a group with an illegal bonfire on the beach. A deputy found eight people with a fire and abated the problem.

NICASIO - A woman on Nicasio Valley Road at 8:20 p.m. complained about "very loud amplified music," with people yelling and shouting. A deputy arranged for the music to be turned down

DILLON BEACH - A woman on Dillon Beach Road reported a loud party of juveniles was getting "out of control." Deputies dispersed a small group.

SAN GERONIMO - A resident warned that trucks appear to be driving up Redwood Canyon Drive to illegally dump garden debris at the end of Chaparral Lane.

INVERNESS PARK - A vehicle hit a power pole west of Balboa Avenue, shearing it off, but not injuring the driver or interrupting utility service. A deputy provided traffic control while workmen replaced the pole.

SAN GERONIMO - The phone company was told it had broken through an underground line along San Geronimo Valley Drive. It tried to determine whether the report was false or the line needed repairs, but a caller on a nearby phone refused to hang up. A deputy checked on the caller and found children playing with a phone. He admonished their mother.

DILLON BEACH - A merchant reported a Jeep with two boys and two girls were refusing to pay the camping fee and were threatening her.

TOMALES - A resident told deputies that four boys had spent all day in front of a store and were probably drinking. When a deputy contacted the boys, he found them to be "very cooperative," and they turned down their music. The store owner told the officer he had no problem with the boys' presence.

HICKS VALLEY - Deputies responded to a non-injury traffic accident at Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and Novato Boulevard.

BOLINAS - A woman on Wharf Road complained about two four-wheel-drive vehicles on the beach. Deputies contacted a group of people and advised them to move on.

INVERNESS - A man complained that construction workers have been dropping off paving equipment at Cameron Street and Vision Road beginning at 6 a.m. A deputy could not find the heavy equipment.

FOREST KNOLLS - A woman complained that four or five men were drinking on Guadeloupe Place. A deputy determined they were not drinking.

WOODACRE - A man said his daughter had been sent to the county crisis unit and that her parents had turned over her illegal drugs to police. He said there might be more drugs in the house, but deputies found nothing illegal.

OLEMA - A woman on a balcony heard a second woman, who sounded in pain, making noise in a car. The first woman said she had heard a man screaming earlier.

LAGUNITAS - A man reported he was staying in his parents' house on Barranca Road when two men aged 45 to 55 walked in at 2 a.m. and asked for a light. They then left.

INVERNESS PARK - A woman complained that a second woman screams obscenities when construction workers show up at a job site nearby. A deputy gave the first woman advice.

STINSON BEACH - A Dipsea Road woman reported receiving threatening letters and phone calls from another woman.

DILLON BEACH - A merchant reported a skiff had been taken from a campsite during the night. In the morning, it was found at a second campsite. The merchant complained of having trouble "all summer" with people at the second campsite.

MARSHALL - The Coast Guard reported a boat adrift in Tomales Bay. An oyster company tried to tow it to their facilities, but it sunk en route.

WOODACRE - A Salix Avenue homeowner complained that he had given neighbors on Laurel Avenue permission to trim some trees on his property, but the neighbors, he said, "not only trimmed them, but cut them [away] totally." A deputy gave the homeowner advice.

POINT REYES STATION - Firefighters responded to a grease fire in a kitchen along Highway 1 and turned off the propane.

TOMALES - The mother of a seven-year-old boy complained that another seven year old keeps pinching her son's private parts. She said the problem started last year and was not stopped by his school. She said her son is now afraid to go to school. A deputy gave her advice.

FOREST KNOLLS - Deputies received a complaint that a woman has for two weeks been sleeping at night in the town park.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD - Two vehicles collided, but no one was injured.

TOMALES - A woman on Highway 1 reported her purse and jewelry had been stolen.

BOLINAS - Deputies received a complaint that a "drunken party" on Wharf Road was causing "lots of noise." An officer contacted the host who agreed to keep the noise down.

INVERNESS - A woman reported that a vandal wrote graffiti in wax on her car, which was parked along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

BOLINAS - A stolen car was found along Highway 1. Its steering wheel had been sheared off. Highway Patrolman handled the matter.

MARSHALL - A vehicle crashed on Highway 1, and Highway Patrolmen handled the accident.

September 10, 1998 Sheriff's Calls

BOLINAS - Three men in their mid-20s vandalized numerous cars parked on Olema-Bolinas Road. The three kicked and scratched car doors, broke sideview mirrors, and broke tail lights. Witnesses told deputies the three were "all chubby individuals."

MARSHALL - A vandal threw a bottle that broke the windshield of a woman's vehicle, which was parked along Highway 1.

INVERNESS - A man tore down a "private property" sign on Teachers Beach. When one of the owners confronted him, the two got into a scuffle. The owner said he would call deputies and tried to take the man to meet them. When he could not, he took the man's glasses and handed them over to deputies.

TOMALES - A thief stole a woman's purse containing $500 when she left it on a bench in front of a bar. Her boyfriend then created a disturbance in the bar and was arrested on charges of public drunkenness.

INVERNESS - A burglar stole garden tools from the rear of a woman's house on Vista del Mar.

POINT REYES STATION - Deputies on the main street arrested a man on charges of public drunkenness.

NATIONAL SEASHORE - A burglar broke the window of a man's car parked at the Tomales Bay Trailhead and stole a backpack containing $725 worth of property.

BOLINAS - A deputy on Wharf Road arrested a homeless woman on four court warrants.

STINSON BEACH - A man on Calle del Piños hit a second man several times with a wooden stick.

STINSON BEACH - A burglar pried open the door of a woman's car and stole her purse containing a checkbook.

DILLON BEACH - Deputies unsuccessfully tried to find four men from the Sacramento area who allegedly assaulted a citizen with their car.

FOREST KNOLLS - A man asked deputies for advice after a previous tenant left property in his home. After he moved in, she refused to take the property, he said, and threw items into the yard. An officer gave him advice.

BOLINAS - A Humboldt County man on Brighton Avenue unwittingly tried to sell psychedelic mushrooms to an off-duty park ranger. The ranger flagged down a passing deputy, who arrested the man.

NICASIO - A Lucas Valley Road man reported a blank check had been stolen from his checkbook while he was in Hawaii during July. The man reported someone has now forged his signature on the check and cashed it for $400 in a Safeway Store near Kona.

HICKS VALLEY - A man and two teenagers got into a verbal disturbance along the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road.

LAGUNITAS - Deputies received a complaint about 30 people holding a party along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

LAGUNITAS - A 14-year-old boy failed to return home by midnight, so his mother went looking for him with a flashlight at 1 a.m. When she spotted him, he fled.

DILLON BEACH - Deputies received a report of a drunk driver on Marine View Drive. An officer who found the driver noted the man had been drinking but was not drunk.

DILLON BEACH - A woman reported she was upset because she and her boyfriend had quarreled.

BOLINAS - A woman on Wharf Road reported her boyfriend had cut his elbow when she threw a coffee cup at him and it broke and he fell on it. She told a deputy she didn't mean to harm him. An officer noted the man was so drunk that it took some convincing to get him to go to a hospital.

BOLINAS - Deputies received three anonymous complaints about drunken people on Wharf Road hindering traffic. A caller said residents were afraid to leave their houses, and asked deputies to clear away the drunks.

LAGUNITAS - A woman reported a man had overdosed on heroin. Firefighters and paramedics responded. Deputies took a report.

OLEMA - A merchant at midnight reported that two girls and three boys were breaking beer bottles on Highway 1. A deputy could not find them.

BOLINAS - A vehicle ran off Highway 1 and over an embankment at Horseshoe Hill Road. The driver hit his head in the accident and was taken to a hospital.

TOMALES - A woman at 12:20 a.m. reported two drunken men in their 30s were yelling on Highway 1, with one of them saying he was "going to kill."

BOLINAS - A woman at 11:45 p.m. complained of loud music on Oak Road. A deputy abated the problem.

STINSON BEACH - A woman on North Calle del Occidente reported two illegal fires on the county beach at 9 p.m. A deputy contacted those responsible for the fire, and it was put out.

MARSHALL - Firefighters reported an illegal fire on the bayside of Highway 1 and then put it out.

STINSON BEACH - Deputies received a report that an emotionally disturbed woman with a surfboard and dog in her car was hanging around people's houses, although not entering them.

FOREST KNOLLS - Firefighters put out a car fire on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

TOMALES - A horse got loose at Highway 1 and Tomales-Petaluma Road. A deputy found it on Valley Avenue and herded it back into its pasture.

STINSON BEACH - A deputy arranged for a tow truck after a motorist's car broke down.

STINSON BEACH - A woman reported seeing an emotionally disturbed man at Thirteen Turns. When deputies contacted the man, they found he was depressed. He voluntarily committed himself to the county crisis unit.

WOODACRE - Deputies at 7:30 p.m. received a complaint about a loud wedding party on Rock Ridge Road.

POINT REYES STATION - A three-year-old boy got temporarily lost along Highway 1.

STINSON BEACH - A woman called deputies to say she believes that keys being sent to her were stolen from the mail. She sounded drunk and immediately hung up, an officer noted. Deputies were later told by a merchant that she is emotionally disturbed. They could not find her.

NICASIO - Three boys aged 13 to 15 hopped a fence at the school at 10 p.m. and walked around the campus. A deputy located them and checked their identifications.

FOREST KNOLLS - A woman complained of illegal campers in sleeping bags under a bench in the town park. A deputy could not find them.

BOLINAS - A Horseshoe Hill Road man complained that someone had placed a lock on his gate, preventing him from getting to his property. A deputy determined it was a civil-law matter.

NICASIO - A man told deputies he was riding his bicycle on Lucas Valley Road when he heard someone shooting and felt a bullet whiz by him. A business reported there were hunters in the area.

LAGUNITAS - A man complained about 12 people trespassing at the Ink Wells. A deputy moved them along without incident.

FOREST KNOLLS - A bicyclist complained about protesters demonstrating at Tamal Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. He said he had to swerve to avoid an umbrella sticking out of a protester's van and was almost hit by a car.

TOMALES - A woman on Highway 1 reported some bales of hay had been stolen. A deputy determined there had been no theft, just some children playing a joke on their father.

STINSON BEACH - A woman reported a band with a "very large amplifier" was setting up on the beach near Calle del Mar and Francisco Patio. The Park Service told deputies that no band had a permit to play music on the beach.

BOLINAS - A woman on Wharf Road complained at 1:15 a.m. about a loud stereo blaring from a car for two hours.

WOODACRE - A woman reported her male roommate had threatened her over their utility bills. A deputy gave her advice.

JEWELL - Two cows got loose on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. A rancher returned them to their pasture.

BOLINAS WYE - A park ranger found a patch of marijuana growing.

BOLINAS - A man on Schipper Lane reported hearing two gunshots. Deputies could not find anyone shooting.

INVERNESS PARK - A man on Laurel Street reported a drunken man had entered his house. The resident added that he did not know if anything had been stolen.

FOREST KNOLLS - A man on Juarez Avenue told deputies he wanted to report on neighborhood problems and to pass along some paperwork to them.

INVERNESS - A woman on Via del Vista reported a burglar had stolen an electric chainsaw, a hedge trimmer, and a garbage can from her storage shed. She estimated the loss at $145.

SAN GERONIMO - A woman reported her female roommate had said she had a gun and was going to kill the woman.

FOREST KNOLLS - A woman complained that a prankster had called Marin Municipal Water District and arranged to have her water shut off. She said she has had similar problems over the past year.

BOLINAS - A woman called deputies to say her ex-husband and their 13-year-old son were in her residence when her ex-husband quarreled with her and slapped her.

INVERNESS PARK - A woman reported someone had forced open her front door, but she didn't think anything had been stolen.

 

September 3, 1998 Sheriff's Calls

FALLON - A vandal drove onto a ranch along the Fallon-Two Rock Road and spun donuts in a field of alfalfa, flattening grass and breaking water pipes.

POINT REYES STATION - A deputy cited a woman on charges of vehicle habitation in the Presbyterian Church parking lot.

POINT REYES STATION - A 16-year-old boy took a 12-pack of beer from a market, going out the back door. When the store's manager confronted the boy, he walked away. A deputy located the youth and cited him on charges of petty theft.

OLEMA - A burglar smashed the window of a man's stationwagon parked along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and stole a backpack containing $680 worth of property.

OLEMA - A burglar smashed the wing window of a woman's car parked along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and stole a tape recorder case and cassettes, clothing, and a sunshade. A deputy took finger prints.

POINT REYES STATION - A vandal threw a rock through a restaurant's front window.

OLEMA - Campground staff found six disposable cameras belonging to a man who had been jailed last week on warrants. Deputies forwarded the cameras to the jail.

POINT REYES STATION - A woman on Highway 1 complained that a man had violated a court's restraining order by disturbing her peace.

OLEMA - A Highway 1 woman spotted a teenager peeping into a bathroom window. Deputies could not find the boy.

BOLINAS - A woman at 11 p.m. complained about juveniles with a loud radio on Wharf Road. A deputy dispersed them.

HAMLET - The day after the West Marin Sanitary Landfill stopped accepting trash, a man reported someone had dumped empty paint cans, plastic containers, couches, clothing, and garbage at a turnout.

LAGUNITAS - Marin Municipal Water District reported a vehicle was blocking a gate to an MMWD fire road. A deputy had the vehicle towed away.

CHILENO VALLEY - A deputy received a report of a black cow on a roadway. The fence of a nearby ranch looked like it had been cut, but the rancher said the cow had been loose for three days and belonged to another rancher.

STINSON BEACH - A dog jumped off a Calle del Embarcadero balcony and broke a leg.

WOODACRE - A woman at 8:20 p.m. complained about a loud band near Railroad Avenue. Deputies contacted the host of an adult party, who agreed to have the band lower its volume.

NICASIO - A Nicasio Valley Road woman at 9:40 p.m. complained about a band playing for several hours. When a deputy checked, the officer found the band had stopped playing and that the party was scheduled to end at 11 p.m.

BOLINAS - A man on Brighton Avenue at 11 p.m. reported there were people with a bonfire illegally camping on the beach.

FOREST KNOLLS - A Juarez Avenue man complained about his neighbor's dogs, which he said are aggressive and keep barking. He also said the neighbor is building an addition to his house without permits.

STINSON BEACH - A deputy assisted the Highway Patrol after three vehicles collided on Highway 1. No one was injured.

INVERNESS - A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard woman reported two people on Jet Skis were being "very reckless" near a swimming area. A deputy could not find them.

INVERNESS - A boater and a kayaker got into a dispute. It was abated by a deputy.

POINT REYES STATION - A citizen found an Albany resident's wallet on a beach and turned it over to deputies.

STINSON BEACH - A Calle del Onda woman complained of a loud party all day, including a truck which was now speeding up and down the beach and spinning donuts.

OLEMA - County firefighters responded to illegal burning.

POINT REYES STATION - A deputy on Mesa Road was flagged down by a sick person. The officer had paramedics respond.

POINT REYES STATION - A deputy found someone's camera and address book.

LAGUNITAS - A woman complained about loud noise from excavating on Spring Road and claimed the landowner didn't have a permit for the work. A deputy determined the landowner had a permit.

POINT REYES STATION - Deputies received a report of a man in his 40s acting strange and possibly drunk at Highway 1 and Fourth Street. An officer determined the man was not drunk, just laughing.

FOREST KNOLLS - Deputies received a 911 call from a Montezuma Avenue home. A child could be heard screaming in the background. After an operator determined the home's phone was off the hook, an officer went to the house, found no one there, and put the phone back on the hook.

FOREST KNOLLS - A photographer reported receiving threatening email from someone who wanted some free pictures. A deputy determined the email was not a threat and gave the photographer advice.

WOODACRE - A man at 8 p.m. complained about a neighbor playing loud band music for an hour. A deputy contacted the neighbor, who agreed to quiet down.

BOLINAS - A Wharf Road woman at 10 p.m. complained that juveniles' loud boomboxes were making her "crazy." A deputy had the juveniles turn down their music.

BOLINAS - A man complained there had been a large encampment for three weeks on the beach 300 yards north of Brighton Avenue. A deputy could not find it.

SAN GERONIMO - A woman got in a quarrel with her boyfriend over his hiding her purse. A deputy, who spoke with the boyfriend, reported he was "agitated" and said he had returned the purse.

INVERNESS PARK - A vandal sprayed paint on a Roberts Drive house under construction and did other damage.

BOLINAS - For the second night in a row, a man complained about a loud hot tub party on Ocean Parkway.

August 27, 1998 Sheriff's Calls

BOLINAS - Two men got into a physical fight on Wharf Road, and one received a cut cheek - possibly from a ring on the other man's hand. Each man performed a citizen's arrest on assault charges against the other man. A deputy cited both men and released them.

FALLON - A woman reported that a man who has been harassing her at work had showed up at her house.

OLEMA - Two men at a campground failed to pay for their stay and refused to leave. A deputy discovered both were wanted on court warrants and jailed them.

FOREST KNOLLS - A manic depressive woman tried to burn herself. She later was voluntarily admitted to the county crisis unit.

CHILENO VALLEY - A man complained that a vehicle had been dumped on his property a year ago. He said he can't get it towed away because its identification number is damaged. He asked deputies to have it towed and received advice.

LAGUNITAS - A woman reported she was walking her dog on Spring Road when a resident claimed she was trespassing on private property and harassed her. The woman said she believes she was not on private property and asked to file a complaint against the resident.

BOLINAS - An anonymous caller at 9 p.m. complained about a loud band on Elm Road where a couple was celebrating their 20th anniversary.

POINT REYES STATION - Deputies received a complaint of juveniles bashing soda cans on Commodore Webster Drive. Officers reported the juveniles were visiting a girl in the Coast Guard housing complex.

BOLINAS - A man at midnight complained about loud people in a hot tub at Evergreen Road and Ocean Parkway. He said they sounded drunk. When a deputy checked, all was quiet.

OLEMA - A campground complained about belligerent campers using foul language and harassing other campers. A deputy escorted the culprits out of the campground.

NICASIO - A woman reported her fence had been cut and that there had been trespassing on her property, possibly by hunters.

STINSON BEACH - Seadrift Security found a purse containing drugs and drug paraphernalia in front of the security office.

STINSON BEACH - A girl got separated from her YMCA group, and deputies were told she might need a ride to the YMCA bus.

FOREST KNOLLS - Someone pushed a townsman's motorcycle down a hill and into a creek along Montezuma Avenue.

FOREST KNOLLS - An anonymous caller complained at 8 p.m. of three or four people drinking in the town park. A deputy told them to quiet down.

LAGUNITAS - Deputies at midnight received a complaint about a loud party on Chaparro Avenue with 10 people outside. A deputy contacted the hosts and told them to turn the music down.

LAGUNITAS - A woman, who spoke little English, reported a man and woman were quarreling in a Chaparro Avenue home at 2 a.m. and that the quarrel was about to become physical. Deputies then spoke to a second woman at the house who said everything was now okay.

STINSON BEACH - A man at 2:15 a.m. complained about 10 loud, drunken people on the beach near Highway 1. A deputy determined a birthday party was underway and quieted the group.

LAGUNITAS - A deputy stopped a vehicle on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3 a.m. He cited the driver on charges of having a fake DMV identification and had the vehicle towed.

OLEMA - A merchant reported "cows all over the road." A deputy couldn't find them but later learned that a rancher had handled the problem.

BOLINAS - A woman reported that a thief had stolen a hanging scale from a farm truck parked along Olema-Bolinas Road.

DILLON BEACH - A woman told deputies she thought she saw human remains on the beach the previous night. She said the remains appeared to be a liver and some skin.

FOREST KNOLLS - A man reported his binoculars had been stolen from his car parked along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

NICASIO - A woman on Nicasio Valley Road notified deputies she had just heard three shotgun blasts. Officers determined her husband was hunting deer on their property.

DOGTOWN - A deputy at 7 p.m. spotted a homeless man staggering along Highway 1. The man, who kept breaking into German, said he was looking for a guy who would give him a scholarship to Stanford University. Besides appearing drunk, the man seemed disoriented. Noticing something was caked on the man's mouth, the officer asked if he had consumed hallucinogenic mushrooms. The man said he had, adding that he had gotten them in Valley Ford. He was arrested on charges of public drunkenness and consumption of psilocybin mushrooms.

INVERNESS PARK - Deputies at 8 p.m. received a report that a three year old had wandered away from a Laurel Street home. The toddler was later found sleeping behind a couch in the home.

DILLON BEACH - Deputies at 9 p.m. notified the Coast Guard it had received reports of a boat flashing an SOS near the mouth of Tomales Bay. However, a resort told the Coast Guard the lights were coming from kayakers signaling each other.

SAN GERONIMO - Residents notified deputies that a man and woman were living in an illegally built structure along Tamarack Drive. The main house on the property is now in foreclosure, officers were told.

WOODACRE - Workers clearing brush along Conifer Way found four marijuana plants growing plus a water container. The plants and four small stalks were seized.

NATIONAL SEASHORE - Deputies at 12:40 a.m. received a report of an upset woman with her children in a car, which was in a parking lot along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. She said her husband had kicked her out of the house.

DILLON BEACH - Two radios were stolen from a resort.

BOLINAS - A man lost his identification and ATM card on Wharf Road. They were turned over to deputies, who arranged for the man's mother to pick them up.

BOLINAS - A citizen found a camera on the beach and turned it in at a bar.

BOLINAS - A deputy on Wharf Road arrested a man on charges of public drunkenness and possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was later released.

BOLINAS - A deputy arrested a man on an El Dorado County court warrant.

OLEMA - After throwing a rock through the window of a woman's car, a burglar stole her purse. The car was parked at the Bolinas Trailhead atop Olema Hill.

MARSHALL - Two teenagers were found asleep in a car parked along Highway 1 near Millerton Point. The boy and girl, who were runaways from Napa County, were returned to their parents.
