December 29, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

WOODACRE – A woman at 7:13 a.m. Christmas Day told deputies her boyfriend "is being ‘urine poisoned’ by his family and law enforcement so they can get his money."

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 2:01 p.m. Christmas Day notified deputies she was leaving town for two weeks and was worried about her home "due to the numerous storms." She asked officers to keep an eye on it.

FALLON – Medics and deputies responded at 4:37 p.m. Christmas Day when a resident reported that a 78-year-old man, who possibly had pneumonia, was in an altered state of mind. He said the victim has a history of heart problems.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 6:38 p.m. Christmas Eve reported a vehicle on Upper Roberts Drive had hit a deer. He said the deer was still alive; however, it had died by the time a deputy arrived on the scene.

BOLINAS – An Overlook Drive resident at 9:16 p.m. Christmas Eve called deputies when three men and a woman, all drunk, burst into his home uninvited. A deputy, who said the four left when confronted by the resident, speculated they might have merely shown up for a party at the wrong house.

MUIR BEACH – A resident at 12:05 a.m. Christmas Day told deputies she needed a court to issue a restraining order against her 29-year-old ex-husband. Deputies quoted her as saying, "He is threatening to come out and hurt [her] tomorrow" and may try to kidnap their child.

TOMALES – A man at 1:07 a.m. Christmas Day notified deputies that a man about 60 years old and a woman were walking in the rain along the Tomales-Petaluma Road. Because of the weather and time of night, he had asked if anything was wrong, and they had said no. The caller confirmed, "It doesn’t appear there was anything wrong with them… [They] just stated they were walking home."

CHILENO VALLEY – Sonoma County deputies at 3:53 a.m. Christmas Day notified West Marin deputies that a man had called firefighters after spilling gas on his hand. Sonoma deputies said firefighters had asked them for a backup because the victim has a history of trouble with authorities.

WOODACRE – A woman at 8:42 a.m. Christmas Eve called deputies on behalf of a friend, saying other friends of his were staying at his house and using drugs. A deputy gave her advice.

INVERNESS – A woman at 3 p.m. Christmas Eve reported that a deer, which had been struck in traffic, was now beside Sir Francis Drake Boulevard with a broken leg. The Humane Society authorized a deputy to shoot the deer to put it out of its misery, but the deputy couldn’t find it.

BOLINAS – Deputies at 3:18 p.m. Christmas Eve received a report that a man on Brighton Avenue may have broken a collarbone in a surfing accident. Medics and deputies responded.

INVERNESS PARK – The Highway Patrol at 4:30 p.m. Christmas Eve passed along a report that a 90-year-old man had fallen and was "possibly down for two hours." The CHP said it did not know if the man were injured but reported he "feels weak."

WOODACRE – A resident at 7:14 p.m. Friday complained that numerous vehicles were parked in the area of a party near Buckeye Circle and Redwood Drive, leaving little clearance for traffic. A deputy determined that all the vehicles were parked legally, that none was obstructing traffic, and that the "adult party" was "very quiet."

LAGUNITAS – A Sir Francis Drake Boulevard resident at 8:18 p.m. Friday told deputies that although a court had ordered a second man to leave him alone, the second man had called him eight times in the past three days. He said the second man left a message, and he asked that a deputy come to his house to hear the recording.

POINT REYES STATION – A Mesa Road resident at 8:53 a.m. Friday reported her son had lost a cell phone the previous Sunday.

PLATFORM BRIDGE – A member of the public at 9:46 a.m. Friday flagged down a deputy on Platform Bridge Road to report a vehicle had crashed into the bridge.

STINSON BEACH – The Highway Patrol at 12:12 p.m. Friday received a report that a driver in a gray and blue Buick had followed another vehicle and pointed a gun at the second driver. Deputies traced the Buick’s license plate number to a man living in Berkeley.

DILLON BEACH – A Cliff Street resident at 2:03 p.m. Friday notified deputies that a 1973 Cadillac had been parked in front of his neighbor’s house, blocking the driveway, for 30 minutes. He said two surfboards were sticking out of the Cadillac’s trunk.

OLEMA – Deputies at 6:07 p.m. Friday were summoned to the downtown after a motorcycle crashed. The motorcycle had to be towed away.

STINSON BEACH – A man at 8:07 p.m. last Thursday reported a rockslide was blocking the northbound lane of Highway 1. The slide had occurred at a blind curve near Red Rock nude beach in heavy fog, he said. Caltrans and the Highway Patrol responded.

FOREST KNOLLS – A woman at 9:50 p.m. last Thursday complained about a bonfire at a home on Montezuma Avenue. Deputies and firefighters responded.

POINT REYES STATION – A man at 1:11 a.m. Friday reported seeing a white van spin out on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and roll down an embankment. He said the motorist in the van had been "driving recklessly prior to the rollover."

BOLINAS – A man at 1:31 a.m. Friday reported a Jeep with its flashers on was in a ditch at Terrace Avenue and Marin Way. A dispatcher said the caller was "somewhat uncooperative and hung up" without giving more information.

SAN GERONIMO – Medics and deputies responded at 7:37 a.m. last Thursday when an 82-year-old woman suffered chest pains and shortness of breath. Officers were told she has a history of heart problems.

BOLINAS – An Ocean Parkway resident at 9:13 a.m. last Thursday reported that a briefcase containing a computer and checkbook had been stolen from his vehicle during the night. He estimated the loss at $3,000.

WOODACRE – A woman last Thursday morning told deputies someone had taken credit-card statements from her mail and has charged $5,000 to them in the last two months. She said she had already notified postal authorities.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – A garbageman at 11:35 a.m. last Thursday reported a vehicle had overturned and gone into a ditch. Deputies and the Highway Patrol responded.

BOLINAS – A Horseshoe Hill Road resident at 3:19 p.m. last Thursday said his face had been cut down to the bone of his eye socket by a piece of sheet metal. He said he was arranging his own ride to the hospital to get the wound stitched.

INVERNESS PARK – Medics and deputies responded at 5:22 p.m. last Thursday when an 88-year-old woman began feeling weak and dizzy. Deputies were told she had just been released from a hospital after falling and cutting her face that morning.

NICASIO – Deputies and the Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident on Nicasio Valley Road at 4:22 a.m. last Thursday. The vehicle had to be towed away.

SAN GERONIMO – A Juniper Avenue homeowner at 8:53 a.m. last Wednesday complained that a tree service had cut down trees on her property without permission. A deputy gave her advice.

POINT REYES STATION – A worker at 8:54 a.m. last Wednesday notified deputies that a coworker was outside their business with a man who had apparently just assaulted a third worker. The suspect was last seen walking off down the street.

STINSON BEACH – A woman at 3:24 p.m. last Wednesday reported that a man had given her a bad check three days earlier. A deputy referred her to the Bad Check Program of the District Attorney’s Office.

NICASIO – An Inverness firefighter at 1:07 a.m. Dec. 20 notified deputies that a small mud-and-rock slide was at the edge of the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road just downhill from the Nicasio Reservoir spillway. A deputy set out a traffic cone to warn motorists and said the Department of Public Works would need to use a tractor to clear away the slide.

POINT REYES STATION – A man at 9:02 a.m. Dec. 20 reported a small white car was 50 feet down an embankment from Point Reyes-Petaluma Road near North Bend Ranch. Deputies determined the car had been stolen and apparently abandoned.

BOLINAS – A resident at 12:09 p.m. Dec. 20 complained that "someone wrote an offensive word on [her] car with a felt-tip pen overnight." She said the car had been parked on Wharf Road.

BOLINAS – A tenant at 2:19 p.m. Dec. 20 asked a deputy for help, saying that every since his recent arrest, he has been having problems with his landlord. A deputy "handled" the matter.

POINT REYES STATION – A woman at 2:19 p.m. Dec. 20 reported losing an Ohio driver’s license.

SAN GERONIMO – Deputies at 7:01 p.m. Dec. 19 received a report that an elderly motorist had been in a traffic accident at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Nicasio Valley Road. Officers were told that the man "had been pulled out of the car."

POINT REYES STATION – A tenant at 8:25 p.m. Dec. 19 told deputies she could hear her landlord quarreling with his wife, making her concerned for her own safety. She said he is on medication.

CHILENO VALLEY – Two vehicles crashed on Wilson Hill Road at 12:05 p.m. Dec. 19. Although one vehicle came to rest upside down, no one was hurt.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – A passerby at 8:53 p.m. Dec. 18 reported rocks had slid onto the road and just caused one vehicle to "blow a tire."

 

December 22, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

LAGUNITAS – Deputies responded at 8:41 a.m. Dec. 12 to a single car accident along Sir Francis Drake. The driver was pinned inside the overturned vehicle and a 3 1Ú2-year-old passenger was safely removed from her car seat. Both were transported to Marin General and released with minor injuries.

BOLINAS – Medics at 10:29 a.m. Dec. 12 assisted a 35-year-old woman who was having trouble breathing.

NICASIO – A resident at 1:27 p.m. Dec. 12 reported a suspicious man with a head wound and carrying a backpack walking on the shoulder of Lucas Valley Road.

BOLINAS – A resident at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 12 reported a neighbor and a tree trimming company cutting down a tree on the resident’s property.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – Deputies at 4:06 p.m. Dec. 12 contacted an individual that seemed in need of assistance. An evaluation was performed and the person requested transportation to a psychiatric hospital.

FAIRFAX-BOLINAS ROAD – A man hanged himself in a redwood grove and was discovered at 4:16 p.m. Dec. 12.

POINT REYES STATION – A woman at 7:44 p.m. Dec. 12 reported an "overdue husband."

WOODACRE – A concerned resident at 8:18 p.m. Dec. 12 reported a visiting guest had "left suspicious items in her house, possibly bomb-making materials." The items included a "large glass jar with liquid inside that smelled like gasoline" and latex gloves. Deputies investigated and found no merit.

FOREST KNOLLS – A mother at 8:58 p.m. Dec. 12 reported her daughter had run away and may try it again. Deputies advised.

WOODACRE – A worried boyfriend at 2:01 a.m. Dec. 13 reported his girlfriend had not returned home and he had expected her by 10:15 p.m. The girlfriend returned home safely.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 10:18 a.m. Dec. 13 reported a "bike, tool box and drill set stolen from [his] unlocked garage between Nov. 10 and Nov. 14.

FOREST KNOLLS – A property owner at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 13 reported trespassers dumping trash on his recently burned down property. The owner was advised to fence the area.

POINT REYES STATION – Medics at 3:10 p.m. Dec. 13 assisted a woman with shallow breathing and a history of asthma.

BOLINAS – Medics at 9:10 a.m. Dec. 14 assisted on 89-year-old man who had fallen in his home.

NICASIO – A resident at 9:53 a.m. Dec. 14 reported hearing gunfire, possibly from hunters, on his property. The resident pointed out bullet holes on a sign, which were "determined to be old damage."

SAN GERONIMO – Medics at 7:56 p.m. Dec. 14 responded to a woman who had fallen and was "bleeding vaginally."

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 1:42 a.m. Dec. 15 reported "someone knocking at [her] front door" for 5 minutes and she was not expecting anyone. Deputies checked the area.

WOODACRE – Medics at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 15 transported an elderly man, whose nose had been bleeding for half an hour, to the hospital.

WOODACRE – Medics at 1:09 p.m. Dec. 15 transported an older man suffering from dizziness to the hospital.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 1:36 p.m. Dec. 15 reported "smoke at chimney outlet [on her] roof." Fire fighters responded.

BOLINAS – An Ocean Parkway resident at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 15 reported "people camping in the area of the trail at the beach." The people had been there for several days. Deputies asked them to leave the area.

POINT REYES STATION – Medics at 11:49 a.m. Dec. 15 assisted a woman suffering from chest pains.

INVERNESS – Deputies at 2:49 p.m. Dec. 15 responded to a single vehicle accident where the car struck a telephone pole and landed partially in the bay. The driver was uninjured.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 3:19 p.m. Dec. 15 reported "3 men just broke into [a vehicle] and were trying to start the car." Deputies responded.

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 5:31 p.m. Dec. 15 complained of a neighbor’s recurring loud music.

BOLINAS – A Wharf Road resident at 3:12 a.m. Dec. 16 reported she agreed to sell her vehicle but the buyer had not yet paid all the money and had taken the vehicle without permission.

BOLINAS – A woman at 9:55 Dec. 17 reported her ex-boyfriend violated his temporary restraining order by calling her and harassing her. Deputies advised.

BOLINAS – A Brighton Avenue resident at 2:48 p.m. Dec. 17 reported having a verbal altercation with an unknown subject who was using the shower on his property. The unknown man had left the property and deputies advised resident.

MUIR WOODS – A man at 5:57 p.m. Dec. 17 reported his wallet taken from his jeep. The thief gained entry by unzipping the soft top of the man’s jeep.

BOLINAS – A girlfriend at 6:33 p.m. Dec. 17 reported her boyfriend threw her against a wall and was accosting her. "When asked if [she] was being hurt by boyfriend, she stated she was hitting him." Deputies responded.

INVERNESS – A resident at 10:16 p.m. Dec. 17 requested medical help for her elderly husband.

INVERNESS – A woman at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 17 reported she had been date raped last spring and sought advice.

POINT REYES STATION– A resident at 11:31 p.m. Dec. 17 complained of music with loud bass guitar. The party was breaking up as deputies arrived.

POINT REYES STATION– A resident at 5:03 a.m. Dec. 18 reported power out and lines down and arcing on Mesa Road.

PT. REYES-PETALUMA ROAD – A man at 6:06 a.m. Dec. 18 reported a traffic sign knocked down "suggesting that someone may have run over it" and driven off the cliff. Deputies found no vehicles in the area.

INVERNESS – Deputies at 12:10 p.m. Dec. 18 assisted the Fire Department with downed lines along Sir Francis Drake.

WOODACRE – A friend at 12:26 p.m. Dec. 18 requested a welfare check for a woman who was making irrational statements regarding her son being held hostage and her house having been vandalized.

BOLINAS – A woman at 2:16 p.m. Dec. 18 flagged down deputies to request assistance with a dog that had been hit by a car. Deputies helped arrange for the dog’s private transportation to the vet. The woman became combative and the deputies arrested her for being drunk in public. Once in the patrol vehicle, the woman attempted to smash out windows.

POINT REYES – A woman driving westbound on Pt. Reyes-Petaluma Road at 5:59 p.m. Dec. 18 reported a beer bottle striking her vehicle’s windshield, smashing the windshield and covering her with broken glass. She believed the bottle may have been tossed from a large truck traveling eastbound.

FOREST KNOLLS – A girlfriend at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 18 requested advice on civil issues with her boyfriend.

INVERNESS – A resident at 7:51 p.m. Dec. 18 reported her home alarm was sounding when she arrived. Deputies checked the residence.

 

December 15, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 10:01 a.m. Dec. 5 inquired about donating a vehicle to the Sheriff’s office.

BOLINAS – A resident at 11:35 a.m. Dec. 5 reported her unlocked vehicle had been rifled through the previous night though nothing was taken.

SAN GERONIMO – The Department of Forestry at 1:07 p.m. Dec. 5 was trying to contact a resident after one of their homes had burned down.

TOMALES – A resident at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 5 complained of people trespassing on his property and taking pictures.

MARSHALL – A Shoreline Highway resident at 3:07 p.m. Dec. 5 reported a number of credit card and bank statements had been opened in his mailbox.

POINT REYES STATION – A southbound Shoreline Highway driver at 5:23 p.m. Dec. 5 reported he had just "accidentally hit" a vehicle.

INVERNESS – A resident at 6:37 p.m. reported people trespassing on his property.

SAN GERONIMO VALLEY – The West Marin Stage Coach and another vehicle at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 5 collided along Sir Francis Drake. CHP responded.

FOREST KNOLLS – A mother at 7:36 p.m. Dec. 5 reported an "unknown male called and yelled at her son and made him cry" five days ago. Deputies advised.

INVERNESS – A 51 year-old woman at 9:39 a.m. Dec. 6 complained of chest pains. Medics responded.

TOMALES – A neighbor at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 6 reported suspicion that a neighbor was growing marijuana. Deputies advised.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 4:13 p.m. Dec. 6 requested advice about removing a vehicle, which was missing a tire, from her property.

BOLINAS – Deputies at 9:00 a.m. Dec. 7 provided a civil standby for a landlady inspecting her rental property.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 12:00 p.m. Dec. 7 reported a friend had taken an overdose of medication. The friend was taken to Marin General Hospital.

POINT REYES STATION – A citizen at 5:47 p.m. Dec. 7 found and turned in a "plastic tub [filled] with farmers’ market advertising."

NICASIO – A Deputy at 7:10 p.m. Dec. 7 verbally served a restraining order to a resident.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 8:15 Dec. 8 sought advice regarding removal of an abandoned vehicle from her property.

BOLINAS – A 61-year-old man at 11:57 Dec. 8 complained of chest pains. Medics responded.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 12:18 p.m. Dec. 8 was transported to Marin General Hospital after having difficulty breathing.

BOLINAS – A resident at 1:36 p.m. Dec. 8 reported three to four "local drunks" arguing on Wharf Road. Deputies transported one person to a detox facility.

NICASIO – Deputies at 11:08 p.m. Dec. 8 arrested a man for driving under the influence. His dog, which was in the vehicle, was transported to the Humane Society.

FOREST KNOLLS – A female driver at 2:34 a.m. Dec. 9 reported being followed by a vehicle "all the way from Fairfax onto Montezuma." When she stopped, the following driver ran up to her car "banged on her window and said he needed help and directions to Stinson Beach." Deputies tried to locate the man in the vehicle.

POINT REYES STATION– An employer at 9:57 a.m. Dec. 9 reported a possible battery when a former employee threw a pair of pliers at the employer during an argument.

POINT REYES – An employee for the Humane Society at 9:57 a.m. Dec. 9 inquired about the status of an escaped goat and if he still needed to respond.

WOODACRE – A man at 3:02 p.m. Dec. 9 accidentally cut off the tip of his finger with a tool.

BOLINAS – A resident at 3:23 p.m. Dec. 9 reported the registration tags on her license plate stolen.

POINT REYES STATION – A caller at 4:47 p.m. Dec. 9 reported a possible drunk driver. Deputies contacted the driver and found no merit to the complaint.

SAN GERONIMO – Medics at 4:47 p.m. Dec. 9 were called to assist an elderly person who had fallen at home.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 9 reported a fire on Cliff Street. Firefighters arrived and found the rear corner of a house burning. Fire had also spread to a neighboring home. Around 3:14 a.m. numerous neighbors reported the fire reignited ultimately gutting the home and further damaging the second home as well as threatening a third. (Please see story this issue.)

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 10:24 p.m. Dec. 9 reported a "loud, rowdy juvenile party." The homeowner was contacted and no one had permission to be in the residence. The homeowner’s teenager was hosting the party that was soon broken up

POINT REYES – A driver at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 10 reported a single car accident. There were no injuries.

WOODACRE – Medics at 3:27 p.m. Dec. 10 responded to the home of a 55-year-old resident who was having difficulty breathing.

FOREST KNOLLS – Deputies at 4:02 p.m. Dec. 10 contacted individuals who had set up a "homeless encampment" and asked them to leave.

WOODACRE – A resident at 4:10 p.m. Dec. 10 complained a vehicle had been blocking his driveway since 9:00 a.m.

BOLINAS – A Mesa Road resident at 8:56 p.m. Dec. 10 reported a woman was "at his residence and going to vandalize his vehicle." Deputies responded.

BOLINAS – An Elm Road resident at 9:20 p.m. Dec. 10 heard some noises outside his residence and requested extra patrol in his area as he had recently had gasoline tanks taken from his property.

INVERNESS PARK – A single vehicle accident occurred at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 11 when a young driver took the corner of Balboa Ave and Sir Francis Drake too quickly and ended up in a ditch.

BOLINAS – A welfare check was requested at 11:51 a.m. Dec. 11 after a woman, who recently had been evicted, told a friend of her desire to end her life.

FOREST KNOLLS – A bartender at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 11 reported a woman yelling for help along the road. Deputies responded and gave the woman a ride to Fairfax.

FOREST KNOLLS – A mother at 9:03 Dec. 11 reported her daughter had possibly run away. The daughter was located at a friend’s home and she requested her mother come pick her up.

 

December 8, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

BOLINAS – A resident at 9:59 a.m. Nov. 28 reported his girlfriend’s husband was making "death threats to him."

FOREST KNOLLS – A Forest Drive resident at 10:34 a.m. Nov. 28 reported his rock wall had been vandalized.

POINT REYES STATION – A 86 year old woman at 1:27 p.m. Nov. 28 complained of chest pains. Medics responded.

POINT REYES STATION – A Dance Palace employee at 2:59 p.m. Nov. 28 reported "dish soap dumped on kitchen floor, cooking oil dumped on main floor and peanut butter spread on the walls and floors of [the] dressing room."

MARSHALL – A woman at 9:43 a.m. Nov. 29 reported her ex-boyfriend called her and told her "he was going to come out and cause her problems today." Deputies advised.

TOMALES – A resident at 9:44 a.m. Nov. 29 reported bank checks missing.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 9:34 p.m. Nov. 29 reported a 47 year-old man was unconscious. The resident performed CPR and the man "came around." Medics responded.

LAGUNITAS – Deputies responded at 8:02 a.m. Nov. 30 to a single vehicle rollover accident on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. The driver was conscious.

MARSHALL – A worker at 10:08 a.m. Nov. 30 reported a single vehicle rollover. The driver was conscious and had head pain. Medics responded.

BOLINAS – A resident at 1:27 p.m. Nov. 30 reported someone pitching a tent on the pathway to Agate Beach. Deputies found the tent pitched and vacant.

NICASIO – A woman at 5:53 p.m. Nov. 30 reported annoying telephone calls from a blocked number. Deputies advised the woman.

POINT REYES STATION – A man at 6:51 p.m. Nov. 30 reported his wife was "acting a little out of control." He complained she had been punching his arms and yelling. The man requested assistance in calming his wife.

STINSON BEACH – A driver at 9:06 p.m. Nov. 30 reported a pedestrian standing in the middle of Shoreline Highway during a rainstorm looking at the mountain.

BOLINAS – A resident at 7:10 a.m. Dec. 1 reported a transient man refused to leave the area and had in his possession a six-inch fixed blade knife. The man had not made threatening gestures with the knife.

BOLINAS – A Wharf road resident at 7:40 a.m. Dec. 1 reported the sunroof of her vehicle had been vandalized.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 2:48 p.m. Dec. 1 reported a tree and power lines down.

SAN GERONIMO – A resident at 5:08 p.m. Dec. 1 reported a potential telephone scam. A caller requested updated tax information. The resident did not give the information. The caller turned out to be an insurance company telephone solicitor. Deputies found no merit to the scam.

STINSON BEACH – A Belvedere Ave. resident at 9:59 a.m. Dec. 2 reported the rear window of his car smashed and music, instruments, a camera, and clothes taken.

STINSON BEACH – A woman at 10:34 a.m. Dec. 2 reported that her vehicle parked along Shoreline Highway had its rear window smashed and items taken.

STINSON BEACH – A resident at 3:19 p.m. Dec. 2 requested advice about installing security cameras because so many vehicles were being broken into.

BOLINAS – A woman at 3:51 p.m. Dec. 2 reported a friend was intoxicated and threatening to harm himself. Deputies responded.

WOODACRE – A woman at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 2 sought advice about collecting personal items for a friend in Jail who’s home was being repossessed.

POINT REYES STATION – A bar owner at 9:36 p.m. Dec. 2 requested an area check for a disorderly patron who had thrown a glass and left.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 9:04 p.m. Dec. 2 complained of a loud party with about "70 kids." The unsupervised juvenile party was shut down.

NICASIO – A car and a bulldozer at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 3 were involved in a non-injury accident along Nicasio Valley Road.

NICASIO – A resident at 11:50 a.m. Dec. 3 reported a neighbor had followed horseback riders in his vehicle and revved his engine, spooking the horses.

DILLON BEACH – A resident at 9:39 Dec. 3 requested information on the statute of limitations for a crime that occurred eight years ago. The resident was advised to seek legal assistance.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 10:25 Dec. 3 reported an unknown 19-year-old male was in her house hallucinating. The man refused to leave and was acting irrationally.

BOLINAS – A ranger at 11:11 a.m. Dec. 4 reported a "homeless encampment" on Ocean Parkway. The person living there was advised to pack up and leave.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 12:58 p.m. Dec. 4 reported someone had come to her door asking for help because two motorcyclists had collided.

POINT REYES STATION – A resident at 1:52 p.m. Dec. 4 reported rocks on his patio and in his front yard.

BOLINAS – A Shoreline Highway driver at 5:27 p.m. Dec. 4 was arrested for DUI after crashing his vehicle.

 

December 1, 2005 Sheriff's Calls

POINT REYES STATION – A concerned caller at 11:18 a.m. Nov. 21 reported her neighbor was hallucinating. The neighbor "heard voices [during the] night that a house burned down." Deputies transported the neighbor to the Crisis Unit.

BOLINAS – A visitor in route back to Tahoe at 11:43 a.m. Nov. 21 called to inquire whether Deputies could check if he left his wetsuit behind at the Bolinas boat launch.

DILLON BEACH – A woman at 4:04 p.m. Nov. 21 reported she either lost or someone had stolen $7,000 from her purse.

WOODACRE – A woman at 4:26 p.m. Nov. 21 reported that five days ago she saw four adolescent boys carrying oversized squirt guns. One of the boys may have been carrying a can of lighter fluid that he hid in has jacket as he walked by. Deputies found no merit to the case.

BOLINAS – A neighbor at 7:50 p.m. Nov. 21 reported a jeep with a "broken out window." The neighbor was concerned because he had seen someone in the vehicle earlier and he was not sure if there was someone still there. Deputies found the vehicle unoccupied.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 8:00 p.m. Nov. 21 reported a neighbor had opened the resident’s gate, let out her dog, and made threatening remarks towards the dog. Deputies advised.

BOLINAS – An Elm Road resident at 12:04 p.m. Nov. 22 reported gasoline siphoned from her car. The resident noticed a red rubber hose in the parking area and her gas cap was loose.

MUIR BEACH – A resident at 1:08 p.m. Nov. 22 reported a suspicious man roaming the area for the past few days whom she believed had killed a squirrel with a knife. The suspicious man was in his forties with thin long hair, wearing a flannel shirt and jeans.

BOLINAS – A landlady at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 22 requested extra patrol check of her resident because of a problem tenant who is in the process of moving.

FOREST KNOLLS – A resident at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 22 complained of loud bass music coming from a neighbor’s vehicle. Deputies found the vehicle unoccupied and advised the resident.

BOLINAS – A woman at 10:33 p.m. Nov. 22 requested an escort to her ex-boyfriend’s residence to collect belongings that were taken from her. The woman was gone when deputies arrived.

INVERNESS PARK – A house sitter at 11:00 p.m. Nov. 22 reported a hot tub, which operates on a timer, suddenly turned on. She also heard tapping sounds on a window near the hot tub. Deputies checked the area.

TOMALES – A woman at 10:26 p.m. Nov. 23 requested advice for dealing with her physically abusive husband.

STINSON BEACH – A beachgoer at 1:05 p.m. Nov. 24 reported a surfer calling for help. The surfer was alone in the water, thought he saw a Great White Shark, and was paddling to shore. The call was referred to the Coast Guard.

BOLINAS – A person at 2:02 p.m. requested a welfare check on an alcoholic disabled friend.

INVERVESS – A single car accident occurred at 2:48 p.m. Nov. 24 at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Sir Francis Drake. There were no injuries.

BOLINAS – A Maple Road resident at 3:57 p.m. Nov. 24 reported a possibly drunk driver drove by his house and parked nearby. The resident described the driver and passenger as being so drunk they "could barely hold their heads up."

LAGUNITAS – A resident at 4:01 p.m. Nov. 24 reported two motorcycle riders on her property.

DILLON BEACH – A daughter at 9:39 a.m. Nov. 25 requested a welfare check be made on her mother whom she had not heard from in two weeks. The mother was driving a truck and hauling a boat from Dillon Beach to Illinois. She was last seen in Cotati. Deputies referred the daughter to the Cotati police.

FOREST KNOLLS – A property owner at 10:27 a.m. Nov. 25 reported a neighbor illegally dumping debris on someone else’s land.

WOODACRE – A friend at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 25 requested a welfare check on an elderly man whose phone had been busy for "sometime." The phone was off the hook.

BOLINAS – A resident at 4:14 p.m. Nov. 25 reported the wheels of her garbage can had been cut off.

WOODACRE – A resident at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 25 reported a car’s horn sounding. The vehicle’s owner was out of town. When asked if he could be of assistance to the people at the car, the resident was told to "fuck off." Deputies responded, found the horn still sounding. Fire Department responded with a slim jim and disabled the horn.

DILLON BEACH – A store worker at 7:32 p.m. Nov. 25 reported juveniles on the beach throwing M-80’s towards the campsites.

FOREST KNOLLS – An elderly resident at 7:52 p.m. Nov. 25 reported she had had medical equipment delivered to her, "had no one to help her and didn’t know what to do." Deputies responded, "items were explained and confusion ended."

POINT REYES – A man at 8:35 p.m. Nov. 25 complained of campers partying loudly. The campers were contacted and agreed to keep it down.

INVERNESS PARK – A resident at 7:12 a.m. Nov. 26 reported drivers "doing donuts and spinning their tires through the mud and making a big mess."

WOODACRE – A father at 10:07 a.m. Nov. 26 reported someone had thrown a rock through the back window of his son’s vehicle and that his son’s wallet was missing.

TOMALES – A motorcyclist at 2:53 p.m. Nov. 26 crashed his motorcycle on the Tomales-Petaluma Road. The motorcyclist was able to get up and walk.

INVERNESS – A resident at 4:29 p.m. Nov. 26 reported someone, perhaps a neighbor, had turned her "thermostat up all the way while she was at work."

WOOODACRE – A Castle Rock Rd. resident at 11:48 p.m. Nov. 26 reported the rear window of her car smashed.

LAGUNITAS – A neighbor at 12:37 a.m. Nov. 27 complained of noise from a loud party.

WOODACRE – A Central Ave. resident at 9:11 a.m. Nov. 27 reported a front driver’s side window smashed the night of Nov. 26.

WOODACRE – A Central Ave. resident at 9:13 a.m. Nov. 27 reported a rear driver’s side window smashed the night of Nov. 26.

WOODACRE – A Castle Rock Rd. resident at 9:15 a.m. Nov 27 reported a passenger side window smashed the night of Nov. 26.
